HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY D.E. OR CARTRIDGE FILTER BE MANUALLY CLEANED?

While periodic backwashing takes care of most of the debris inside a D.E. filter, only ‘breaking down’ the filter and manually cleaning it will get rid of all the harsh debris. Filter manufacturers recommend that a filter be manually cleaned twice to three times a year (spring and fall are best). To prevent mishap the filter should be cleaned by a professional. We take apart the filter, clean & inspect the grids, replace any parts necessary, and then reassemble it altogether.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY SAND FILTER BE CHANGED?

Sand filters need to be changed and new sand switched out every 24-36 months here in Arizona due to the extreme heat. This will take our technician up to 4 hours to complete and quite a bit of labor. Each sand filter is between 325 and 650 pounds.

WHY IS MY POOL PUMP MAKING WEIRD NOISES?

Some common reasons for a pool pump making weird noises are blocked lines, blocked impellers, or even just unsecure mountings. HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO TEST YOUR POOL WATER?

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO DRAIN MY POOL?

Your pool needs to be drained once per 18-24 months here in Arizona for preventative maintenance against chlorine lock.
